Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is a Greenfield Industrial City located approximately 90 km southwest of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Established under the Special Investment Region Act of 2009, DSIR is a government-driven initiative with a clear legislative framework for development. The Dholera Special Investment Region Development Authority (DSIRDA) is responsible for planning and managing the region, including administering government land within the area. To ensure successful project execution, an SPV, Dholera Industrial City Development Limited (DICDL), was formed between the Central Government (DMICDC Trust) and the State Government of Gujarat.

Spanning around 920 sq km and covering 22 villages in the Dholera Taluka, this area is set to become a larger city than Ahmedabad itself. Strategically located between key industrial hubs like Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar, Dholera is poised to drive regional development. The Dholera Industrial City will feature a self-sustaining ecosystem focused on industrial growth, utility and logistics infrastructure, and social infrastructure including education, healthcare, and essential public amenities.With the backing of DMICDC and the Government of Gujarat, the vision is to create a new-age city with world-class infrastructure, sustainable urban design, and a high standard of living. The city will feature cutting-edge urban transportation systems and efficient regional connectivity to neighboring cities and across the country, ensuring long-term growth and prosperity for both residents and industries.
